Our proposal reimagines the public building as a dynamic and adaptable entity that honors its historical and architectural legacy while integrating modern functionality and urban connectivity. By harmoniously blending preservation with contemporary expansion, we create a U-shaped complex centered around a two-level atrium that serves as the building’s core. Key interventions include a sloped surface linking the structure to the street, promoting extroversion and public engagement, and an upgraded southern passage that integrates the building into the broader network of public spaces. These enhancements, combined with energy-efficient upgrades, form a cohesive, functional, and aesthetically refined complex that respects the principles of modernism while meeting the needs of today’s urban life.
